Perla Gonzalez Roman

Inspiring Students With Her Story

Growing up as a DACA student helped Perla find her voice, which she uses to empower underrepresented students to embrace their diversity and intersectionality by taking control of their life narrative. Seeking an online program that would allow her to continue her important work while growing as an advocate, she discovered the Morgridge College of Education Online.

As a lifelong athlete and longtime coach, Maya believes in the power of collaboration and learning through practice.
