Set Up Your DU Accounts

Log In to MyDU

MyDU is DU’s secure student portal. MyDU is your hub for class registration, financial aid, student bill payments, viewing your end-of-term grades and checking for account holds.

You will activate your MyDU account with your DU ID, which is located on your Intent to Enroll letter. Your temporary password will be your six-digit birthday (MMDDYY), and you will need to change your password upon your first login.

To change your password:

  • Log in to MyDU.
  • Select GO (next to logout) > My Account > Change Your Password or Security Questions > Change Password. 

Activate Your University Email Account

All students are required to use their DU email account. You should check your email daily for messages regarding registration, news and events. Faculty will also send important assignments, changes, announcements for class meetings and other notices to this address.

After you pay your admission deposit, it takes roughly 48 hours for University Technology Services (UTS) to create your email account. Instructions from UTS on how to set up your DU email will be sent to your personal email address. 

To access your DU email account, log in to Office 365 using your email address and the new password you created in MyDU. Note: There is about a five-minute lag time after changing your password for it to start working in Office 365.
